Jeffery Shelton is a retired Senior Executive with 36+ years of experience as a career civilian with the Air Force and 3 years with the Army. He has established JRShelton LLC to provide career mentoring and consulting services to the federal sector. Jeffery concluded his career as the Deputy Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force (SAF-AA), Headquarters

U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. where he advised the Secretary of the Air Force, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and their senior staffs on Headquarters Enterprise Management. In partnership with the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, he led an organization that executed a portfolio of $5.6 billion annually and supported 37,000 personnel. He oversaw Headquarters Air Force (HAF) Facility Operations and HAF Enterprise (HAF-E) planning, programming, budgeting, and execution activities; Air Force Publications and Declassification/Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) activities, Conferences, and Art Program; and advised on insider threat, personnel and industrial security, Senior Leader management, and Civilian Development Education. Prior to his SAF/ AA role, Jeffery served as the Director and Deputy Director of Resource Integration, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) for Logistics, Installations and Mission Support. He was also the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Acquisition Integration, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition. Additionally, Jeffery served in management and leadership positions with the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, and the Secretary of the Air Force for Warfighter Integration and Chief Information Office. His career includes 28 years of experience in program management, logistics, acquisition, and financial management at base, joint, Major Command, and Headquarters. Jeffery served as a member of the Air Force Board of Military Corrections, completed both a career broadening assignment and the Defense Leadership and Management Program, and is a life member of the Senior Executive Association (SEA). Jeffery graduated from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces with a M.S. in national resource strategy and a Certificate of Completion in Senior Acquisition. He has a Masters of Public Administration degree from Atlanta University, and a Bachelor of Arts in history from South Carolina State University. Jeffery’s leadership was recognized with a Meritorious Presidential Rank Award, Air Force Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award, and two Air Force Meritorious Civilian Service Awards.
