From the document: “This directive: a. Reissues DOD Directive (DODD) 3000.06 (Reference (a)) to establish policy and assign responsibilities for CSAs, pursuant to the authority vested in the Secretary of Defense by Title 10, United States Code (Reference (b)). This directive is to be interpreted consistent with the law, DOD issuances, and policy, including those pertaining to the Director of National Intelligence. b. Incorporates and cancels Deputy Secretary of Defense Memorandum (Reference (c)).”
