From the document: “Purpose: In accordance with the authority in DOD Directive (DODD) 5124.02 and the guidance in DODD 1020.02E, this issuance: • Establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides direction for development and maintenance of the DOD Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Management Program (referred to in this issuance as the “Program”). • Provides procedures for implementation of the Program pursuant to Section 656 of Title 10, United States Code; Section 529 of Public Law 116-92; and Executive Order 13583.”
