Laws and Rules of the congressional Budget Process : Budget Counsel Reference

Budget Counsel Reference

From the website: “Congressional budget law covers a lot of ground. The laws governing it take a multitude of forms, and really it’s a labyrinth where, once in, sometimes it’s difficult to get out, or even know where you are at any given moment. The laws set out below cover the essential matter of the subject, beginning with the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974. Congressional budget law had it’s beginning long before that, of course, and this list does not, cannot, cover every aspect of the process. Looking over the Public Laws will give a broader view, but with greater comprehensiveness, greater confusion can result.”
